For and Against

When discussing an issue, we try to present an objective picture by showing both the advantages and the disadvantages that relate to the subject we are writing about. However, we may express our personal opinion in the closing paragraph of the essay.

Plan

Opening: Introduces the topic.

Body: Presents advantages and disadvantages in separate paragraphs.

Closing: Adds concluding comments and possibly personal opinion.
